Beauty, In Their Own Words.
Our clients return and return again as they change
their residences or need to update. Here they tell you why.
What a home should be.
Lisa Davidson and her family live in a large rambling home on acreage. They
are surrounded by lovely views. The house includes many architectural details
including beautiful adobe fireplaces. Unfortunately, their home had grown
in ways that did not suit their needs.
There is a charming long narrow room on the back of the house, which must have originally been an outside porch. Because of the shape of the room it has existed as a pass-way with seating on the edges. By putting a screen in front of the secondary door to the laundry room, we created a cozy seating area. We added a computer armoire on one of the long sides of the room and put a drop leaf table across from it. This allows the children to open the doors, open the table and have a work center.

"Working with Barbara has
been an enjoyable experience. She is approachable and an able listener. Her primary
concern was to address the functional needs of our family. How could
this room be both beautiful and serve a purpose? What she accomplished
was to change a largely unused room into the lovely "heart" of
our home.
This
is now the place where we can pursue our individual interests: computer
time, homework, art projects, reading, conversation, informal family
meals...without sacrificing our time together. This is what home should
be."

“I brought Barbara a tired outdated house and only an abstract vision of what I wanted it to be. My ideas were a jumble of scraps torn from magazines and I did not know where or how to start”.
The overwhelming style selections and color choices on the market left me confused, and I was concerned about making expensive mistakes. Barbara gained my confidence by quickly determining my taste, and bringing my ideas to life.
Barbara made the entire decorating process effortless and fun!”
